Day 2 of Positive Thinking and Positive Writing

I read an article yesterday that stated positive thinking has a considerable number of beneficial side effects. Part of my New Year's resolutions is to make 2014 a better year. I figured the best way to do this would be to increase my positive thinking. According to the article that I read there were 3 ways to increase positive thinking and one way was through writing. So yesterday I started working towards being more positive by writing about my wedding. Today I thought I would write about all of the ways that I'm lucky and happy.

I have a great number of friends and family who love me unconditionally. I cherish each one of the relationships I've built in the past years. I keep people close who are each so amazing in their own way. I feel very lucky to have the friends that I have. I love my running friends! I don't know where I would be without them. I'm uncomfortable to have the spotlight on me or to have people take care of me, but my running friends do just that. The listen to me vent and have been a shoulder to cry on during the trying times of the year. I have built a routine for several days of the week that involve them and I love it!!

I have amazing dogs. They each have such a great personality. They make each day better. I laugh so much with them around.

I have great health! I work to take care of myself and eat healthy for the most part… except for the occasional cupcake. It's been a while since the last time I was truly ill. I'm able to run, swim, and bike to my heart's content.

I have an fantastic husband!! He takes care of my but doesn't overwhelm me. He is my best friend and my life is better since he is in it.

So I'm probably not the best writer, but maybe I'll grow as I continue to write. If you are still reading this, hopefully I'm not boring you too much as I take this personal journey. Thank you and I hope that your 2014 will be as good as mine is going to be :)
